In the latest update of their acquisition plans for Point Grey Research, FLIR Systems, Inc. has announced the company will operate as “FLIR Integrated Imaging Solutions” as a stand-alone entity of FLIR’s OEM and Emerging business segment. The company did not comment on the decision to abandon the Point Grey Research branding,
FLIR has yet to announce changes, if any, to Point Grey’s product distribution channels and marketing plans. However, the name change suggests sales of the popular industrial camera products may by managed within FLIR’s existing sales channels.
